Behind the scenes of Catskill’s creative economy boom

We welcomed dozens of people to our Catskill, N.Y. campus last Thursday for a behind the scenes look at our space before it’s transformed into the first residential facility in the U.S. dedicated to providing artists and their companies with technical rehearsals that culminate in out-of-town openings.

Partnering with the Upstate Alliance for the Creative Economy (ACE) and nearby Thomas Cole House, we were delighted to meet so many people as inspired as we are about the number of new businesses opening here.

In addition to new galleries, restaurants, boutiques and cafes opening up, Crossroads Brewing Co. recently welcomed its first guests to a taproom across the street from our campus.

Behind the scenes at LUMBERYARD

Last Thursday, we hosted members of ACE and local guests to a tour of the LUMBERYARD facility. Guests sampled Crossroads’ newest beers while we shared details of our construction plans.

We’re right now raising funds to support a key component of the project: raising our roof by 20 feet.

The crowd then moved on to Thomas Cole House to see how the historic site has been beautifully reimagined.
