First annual Shindig to showcase popular artists’ works

Join us in Catskill, N.Y. on Sept. 17 for LUMBERYARD’s first ever End of Summer Shindig.

You’re invited to our Water Street studio to enjoy live music, cocktails, hors d’oeuvres and two live artistic performances.

“We’re excited to again be sharing a taste of the work LUMBERYARD will be bringing to Catskill, N.Y. when we open officially in 2018,” Executive Director Adrienne Willis says.

Party performances

Beginning around 5 p.m., we’ll be closing down the street for a dance performance by New York-based choreographer Jodi Melnick and artist Steven Reker.

The duo developed, Moment Marigold, at LUMBERYARD’s Maryland facility.

It premiered in 2015 at Brooklyn Academy of Music, popularly known as BAM.

Artist Dan Hurlin will also be staging an excerpt of his puppet show, Demolishing Everything With Amazing Speed, which debuted this summer at Bard College.

Live music

The party will include live music by Buckeye Rooster, a Hudson Valley bluegrass band.

Their popular sound combines harmonica, fiddle, mandolin, banjo, guitar and upright bass.
